Don "Lofty" Large served with the Glorious Glosters at the battle of the Imjin River in Korea. After being wounded he spent two years as a prisoner of war. He was repatriated due to his wounds and then joined 22 SAS Regiment. He served in Malaya/Borneo and Northern Oman.

A memorial bench has been donated by his SAS pals and this now sits in the Sun Room of the Allied Special Forces Memorial Grove, which is situated within the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, Staffordshire.

The bench will be dedicated at noon on Sunday 18th March. Should you wish to attend then please let Mike Colton know by e-mail mikecolton@hotmail.com or by mobile 07929-118598.
